The Fires Shall Burn

She couldn't escape, she saw herself die before her own eyes. She tried to scream but something else was said instead, something in ancient language only the Drakin would know.

"Od zi viing" As she said this, not knowing it she collapsed. From within her came a breath of frost and then a frame of a dragon. It flew out into the skies, knocking the Kudo away from her and then circled the village. Its cries would be heard for miles and the sight of it sent the soldiers into panic.

The drakin stopped dead in their tracks staring with awe. Kunia ordered his men "Get her, get her out of here! she must be kept safe, go go go!" The rangers moved fast and went to her saying very calmy "Come with us, we want to keep you safe not hurt you, please come with us."

The dragon roared over the village, breathing icy frost down upon it. The girl was on the ground when the Drakin got to her. She was disoriented and frightened but she could still stand. She followed the rangers away from the mayhem of battle and the dragon followed close behind. Once away from the flames and rubble the dragon landed and its spirit withdrew back within the girl. The Drakin may still not understand what she truly is when they saw this but there is one who would.

Long before the dragons had went missing from the lands of Aerrath there was a legend of their reincarnation. Their spirits live for eternity, even after their deaths. Rylis the Eternal would know of these legends and of their authenticity.

One of the men looked at kunia and nodded "Sir, Dran will want to see this one." Kunia nodded "I agree, she seems to have the dragon blood in her..she smells of it at least, bring her back to the city when we finish with the raid." As he said this the drakin knew they were to continue the raid, so they set up along the hillside raining a hell fire along the city walls and the outskirts of the city. Aiming for areas that looked like they would catch fire easily.
