Blood on the Waves

An Orsinnar raiding party was out on the waters in a small fleet of boats - they were headed towards a human coastal settlement, with a plan to completely raze the village and rip the port to shreds. This would help to cripple the trade routes snaking through the waterways under human control, and it would bring the orcs another step closer to shaking the Empire to its knees. Even if they had to do it one human at a time, they would see the Empire bleed...slowly and painfully.

While they were still in open ocean they would see a large jutting...thing in the water, it looked like a rock but the thing it was attached too was rounded and glistened strangely in the sun. This was never here before on any travels of orcs so it would be suspicious even to thier one minded-ness about tasks.

Some of the warriors commented on it to the main ship's captain, but he grunted, ignored it, and simply changed the ship's navigation to ease around it and continue going. However, one of the smaller ship's officers towards the rear flank noticed it and called out that he was going to investigate. He had the ship pull up closer to it, within enough distance to get a much better view. It could have been a ruined ship, or perhaps some human contraption or a sign of recent activity.

The strange object shifted until a 6 foot tall ripple shocked through the water starting around the spike of stone, which upon closer inspection was not stone at all but a spike not unlike the drakin's horns. A huge earth shattering roar erupted from under the water and the skies began to darken as cloud formed and the sea began to roil as if something massive was moving under it. A angry deep voice was roar out of the deep "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF MY AWAKENING!? WHAT FOOLS HAVE RELEASED THE SHADOWS!?"

The boats shook back on the ripples a bit and tried to maintain a safer distance. Some of the officers and warriors started shouting out.

"What the hell is that?!" "Kill it!" "A damn dragon!" "Dragon!!"

The raiding party's Boss came out of his cabin on the main ship after hearing the commotion. Disgruntled and angered, his voice boomed out in response.

"We are no fools! We are Orsien! What are you?"

The massive dragon showed itself now rearing its head out of the water and other parts of the long serpentine dragon now showing as he roared loud and angry "Orsien, the orcs? I thought you would have killed yourselves long ago during my slumber. Then who!? WHO AWOKE THE DARKNESS THAT STIRS MY WRATH!"
